Meet our Faculty
Donna: Dance has had a lifelong passion for Donna since the age of 7 when she would watch Margaret Doan instruct classes at the Women’s Union. She took off from there, taking lessons from Jack Simmons, Betty Weeks, and Elaine Quinn (Donna’s mentor). At the age of 12, Donna started going to New York City to take dance lessons from the many pioneers of dance from all over the country. Each summer she would continue her lessons in NYC. In 1964, Donna opened the doors of her own studio in order to continue to pass on her love of dance. Throughout the years, Donna has attended various workshops and conventions with her teachers and students in order to stay up-to-date on the most current dance training. Donna’s Dance Center still thrives on the words of wisdom from her mother, Mildred Krueger: "Keep doing what you are doing, believe in what you are doing, always keep learning, and love the children who walk through the doors of Donna’s Dance Center."
Jill: Jill has been dancing since the age of 2, under the instruction of her mother, Donna. She attends dance conventions in NYC, Toronto, Rochester, and Syracuse with her mom and fellow dancers. During her teenage years, she performed under the direction of professional choreographers as Yogi Bear and Bart Simpson. Jill attended Cayuga Community College and received her degree in business. For the past 20 years, she has owned and operated her own dance company (Jill's Dance Co.) in Union Springs and Weedsport schools. Jill is currently in a partnership with her mother at Donna's Dance Center.
Jennifer: Jennifer began dancing at Donna's Dance Center when she was 3 years old. At the age of 10, Donna asked her to begin assisting with the younger classes on Saturday mornings. Donna also saw Jennifer's passion for dance at that young age, and she began to take private lessons throughout the year. Jennifer attended Le Moyne College, where she joined the Le Moyne Student Dance Company. She was a dancer, public relations manager, head choreographer, and executive director. Jennifer has also had the opportunity to take master classes with dance instructors from NYC and LA. Jennifer is currently a fourth grade teacher in the Southern Cayuga school district, and she will be launching her own dance company (Jennifer’s Dance Co.) in the fall for students to take dance in the district.
